Abdollah Kiaie is a calligrapher. He began his apprenticeship at the age of 5 with his grandfather and then consolidates with the master Amirkhâni. In Tehran, he worked as a calligrapher and graphic designer for television and other institutions.
Arrived in France in 1987, he creates shortly after with Inès Igelnick and Laurent Rébéna, the arts association 'Calligraphis', located right in the heart of Paris. The idea is to bring together calligraphers from different backgrounds to ensure quality training and transmission in accordance with traditional teaching.
Abdollah regularly exhibits his work during events in France and abroad. He carries out various activities, including the realization of orders, the organization of training courses and conferences. He is also a consultant to communication agencies, museums, Education Nationale (National Education)and Bibliothèque Nationale (National Library).
Abdollah and the members of Calligraphis also offer improvisations with dancers, poets and musicians.
