Pauline Pénelon, between movement and material

Apassion for the material and its various visual possibilities led Pauline to become a costume designer. Her research includes extending textiles with different materials and exploring the properties of paper while diverting it. 

In 2012, she is the laureate with Sophie Blet of "Trophées Jeunes Talents de Gennevilliers" for a project dance and visual arts. Graduated in fashion design, Pauline has been working for Haute-Couture (Chanel, Jean-Paul Gaultier) and broadcasting.

The performing arts however remains her favorite area where she works as a costume designer or costumier (French Opera House).

Enriched by different worlds, Pauline seeks above all to explore how the body of artists can bring alive inert materials they wear and thus, to let intercross movements and matters.
